She felt confused by the wave of cats passing by. The only color of spray paint she had was orange. The sound of the cats mewing threw her off for a moment but then she got back to thinking of orange; and the feeling of meaning.
She called herself "Old Orange". "I am a color," she sprayed on the wall.
"Check out my side graffiti," she said first to herself, then to the cats, and then, with some Starbucks Courage-Infusion tea, to him.
"I am a colored person now."
He looked shocked and kind of weird-ed out but replied, "Now as in for now? Or as in from now on?"
